GSR Head

Im planning to put some money to the side for the winter and come spring I will have some money to invest in a GSR head. Ive got a '99 GS
Im actually still considering it, issue is should I go for a GSR head on my B18 block or should I go for headers/IM ect. I just want VTEC.

How much involvement is in doing a GSR head swap? Is there any negitives or any problems Ill run into? Has anyone done it? How much would it cost?

Thanks

there's going to be some work for you to just "bolt" that gsr head. couple things such as IM, you're going to need a gsr IM due to the intake runners sitting lower if i'm not mistaken. but nevertheless its doable.
as for other things, you won't be able to bolt the head and have the vtec working by bolting it on, you'll need a oil line kit for it as vtec is oil switch activated.

i believe Eagle carry's a kit.. PM Solid_GSR_YO he is currently finishing up a vtec swap. so you can pm him for more details.

there's some guides floating around, i just can't remember where they are. i've got the how-to pretty much memorized....i'm just too tired right now to type anything long

Simon It's Golden Eagle. they have a kit for you to do what you need thought

I dont think you will have the same power as a real GSR, LS pistons are only 9.2:1 compression.

It might give you a bit more top end thats all.
