GSR built up any suggestions
Ok time has come to rebuild my GSR because it burns about 1L of oil in about 4 days. Anybody have any suggestions i have about a 2500 limit.
I had some thing like this in mind...CTR pistons w/GSR rods,Match port and polish,Type R valvetrain w/ titainium retainers, and set of stage2 cams or even type r cams, and a bored out throttle body. What do you guys think????? Any more tips would greatly appericated TIA.....:beer: |
what gsr engine do you have? b17A or b18c1?
umm CTR pistons on a gsr block, crank and rods will give you like 13:1 CR. is that what you want? |
What are you looking to do with it? Drag? Circuit? Autocross? Commute?
Do you prefer hp? or torque? What's your prefered way of making power? Compression? Displacement? Revs? FI? NOS? All of the above? A B20 bottomend with cams makes good power and is cheap if you're not rev happy. |
I would say b20 also. If not, add a skunk 2 throttle body plus an intake manifold to your list.

ok the CTR pistons fell through...im going with itr pistons instead my goals are to have a rev happy daily driver and to be able to take it to the track and have a good time and i really need something reliable thanks for all your info guys its much appreciated....oh yeah i wanna be able to hit 14.00 mark in the 1/4 mile think its possible i have also thrown in the mix a b16 tranny with lsd.
