Ground Control Installition Help!!
 

Hi guys i installed my Gc coilovers today i had no problem with the front ones but when it came to the back ones i just couldnt open the bolt where the shocks meet the lower control arm i cant use a torch or else ill ---- up the bushing.
What are the options i have to get this bolt out with no harm.
My car in the front is slammed and the back is highhhh lol
any help would be nice

dude those bolts usually break upon trying to remove them.. okay here is what u have to, unbolt the control arm cause those bolts are usually easier to remove than the one for the strut. once u have the whole assembly with the arms u can use a strut/spring compressor and remove the old springs and drop ur new ones in.. if this doesnt work, which it should.. then u gonna have to buy the bushing and break the old ones off and press in the new ones along with new nuts and bolts.

it would be easy i think just to go buy the bolt and the bushing because sooner or later ill be changing the struts.
How much will it cost for the bolts and the bushings both side are siezed

look to spend around 50-80 bucks. depends where u get the bushing.. (i.e. honda or aftermarket) Bolts i wouldnt even go to an automotive place.. just go to rona or something and get same thread and size and bolt strength and your good. a bunch of my buddies use rona or home depot bolts for it and its all good.

get poly urethene bushings.

listen this is what you have to do. you have to cut out that bolt, and burn or somehow get out that bushing. i find that burning it and punching it out with a big pipe works best. just use one of those hand held propane torche you can get at crappy tire. the bolt can be bought at honda, just make sure you slap alot of anti-seize on that thing before installing it because you don't want to run into this problem again. next, you'll need the energy suspension rear LCA bushing kit. you can get it from performance improvments for about $35. this is a split bushing so you don't need to press a stock bushing in place, saves alot of headaches. then re-install and your done.

edit: if you have a grinder and a cutting wheel, it'll go 10000x faster rather than sawing through the bolt with a hack saw that'll take 2 days.

+1, When i did my suspension i got the poly urethane bushings, that just press in, Anti seized the bolts like crazy, and used a propane torch to heat the bolts and a cutting blade to grind the bolt in half. so it just popped out. if the bolt breaks in the bushing, or in the other end of the controll arm. heat it with a propane torch till it gets somewhat red, and use vice grips to get off the remaining peice of the bolt. Cheaping out on bushings will cause problems down the road. just make sure you grease them good or they'll sqeak.

wait you never stated that your bolt was broken. :S

before doin all this heat up the end and if it doesn't come out than do all those, cuz on mine one side was messed the other one came out with heat.
