I use Paul at Splitfire in Brampton. He can be hard to deal with at times and his shop is almost always backed up with cars. I almost always find that it's better to leave my car with him and pick it up a few days later. He knows what he's doing, stands behind his work and his prices are fair. He's brilliant with turbo cars - runs an 8 second civic. Here's his website:

Tell him Miles sent you and he'll take good care of you.

I dont think you know paul all that great, do some research on him and you'll see what kind of micky mouse he is, his eight sec civic isn't even built by him, it's all sponsors, dart block stroked to 2L, cheating the cscs rules cause they clearly say you have to run a stock block and displacement, he steals ---- off of customers cars for other cars, doesnt even let you look at the software he uses on his dyno, tries to pass off neetronics custom MAP sensors as his own, funny thing is he doesn't even know arias is a forged piston maker (this weeks story)...hahaha he's a joke

Couple weeks ago my buddy took his car there for the first time for tuning, thinking yeah he has a 8 sec car and he knows what he's doing, brand new fully built B17, sleeves, pistons rods, head work, the whole 9 yards turbo charged with a SC61. Car blew up in two days due to detonation. Whos to blame? Paul, would he admit it? no!
He's just a joke

You want a honda / acura mechanic go see Ken at IPC on steeles and advance or go see john at ETD in newmarket www.etdracing.com

I've heard a lot of bad ---- about Splitfire. Not sure if I would trust those guys. And Acura is the last place I would take my car. Those guys are a joke.

My father has been a mechanic for 30 years. He know's his ----. He works at Riverside Automotive on Lakeshore Rd. just before Mississauga Rd. 905-278-3779.

Ive had no problems with Splitfire. Almost all my friends with hondas go there. im with rrrex.

i wouldnt go with splitfire. i've had friends who have left their cars there and when they got back some parts were taken outta their engines and/or replaced with shittier parts. the first time i met him i asked him if he could get me racing seat brackets, and he said he doesnt do acura's. what a moron

I like Paul. He's very straight up with me and is very passionate about his work. He does rub people the wrong way sometimes and can't really comment on how he races but I have seen his block being put together on the shop floor which left me believing he put it together. Keep in mind I spend a lot of money there and he's done extensive work on my car. I orignally went to him because other mechanics had left the electronics a complete mess - I mean complete mess. Anyway, Paul rewired the entire car and it's been making great power since. I proudly run his decals and haven't heard complaints from people I've sent there. As for stealing stuff, I've got lots of parts and they're all still there.

When you get behind the scene and get to know other people who deal with him alot directly such as suppliers, even the guys that run cscs have something to say about him.
Next time you're there wasting money on him ask him to let you look at his drag cars motor and see what answer you get, guy if you to etd his drag motor is right there in front of you, they'll even give you specs on it, not like paul where he thinks he has some magical formula for a 8 sec honda and no one can see it.

I've seen his block it's a DART block, ask him about last years event, he'll get all pisst and mouthy.
