Fuel Pressure

does anyone know what the stock fuel pressure is on an LS motor. i have an adjustable pressure regulator and need an idea of what to set it to. i'd like to bump up the fuel pressure a bit, whats a good setting if i only have intake and exhaust? also is there any cheap alternative to the B&M pressure gauge i can't justify spending $45 on a gauge like that. i hear that princess auto sells similar gauges for like $10 just gotta re-tap the treads to fit metric

TIA

Stock fuel pressure slightly varies on each car, but roughly around 40-45psi with vacuum hose disconnected.
