fuel economy

Just out of curiousity, what are you guys getting for mileage out of your cars? Is it worth it to toss in the high grade fuel into an essentially stock integra?

Cheers

i drive about 300km a week. and i spend like 40 bucks a week for 94 oct gas.
and i dunno about anyone else, but i feel if i put 94. it lasts a bit longer.

PrincessS2K 04-08-2007 10:01 PM

You only get 300km a tank??

Damn where do you drive?

Also where are you able to just fill $40 for the tank? I'm spending close to $60 for the Teg and no clue for the S but will find out soon.

^well i dont really wait til the gas light come up.
i fill once a week no matter what ..
and i usually drive on highwayz..

IntegratedGSR 04-08-2007 10:55 PM

^ thats exactly what i do.
300-330km a week, and $40-42 everytime i fill up, but I dont go until the gas light comes on.

i get 450-500 on the highway to a tank with a B20. Using premium on a stock RS/LS is a waste of money.

I'm getting about 260K on 20L of 87, does that sound about right?

udm-b18 04-08-2007 11:34 PM

btw, this is on a stock 1.8 straight highway @ 120

7.6L/100 isn't bad at all. On a full 45L tank that would put you over 520km/tank

94 ls motor, highway and city driving. 500-550km on 40 to 42 litres and premium fuel does make a difference...usually put vpower, but a family member once put regular from esso and I immediately noticed a difference.

Well my GF just picked up a 95 Teg... i'll find out how much she gets to the tank in a week or so :D just did a minor tuneup , clean throttle body, intake, fuel injector cleaner, engine flush, tranny flush... see how that goes :D

How big of a difference? I've tried it myself and didn't notice a thing. If you don't gain 10% in fuel economy you are wasting money.
