Front windshield wiper motor

Hey, this happened to me 3 times already on my Integra - and just wondering if it happened to anyone else. Did the main control arm from your front windshield wipers come lose from the wiper motor? And if it did, why did it happen

those linkages are usually a ball sitting in a little cup that dry out and break apart. sometimes you can get the wiper linkage by itself and other times you have to get the whole assembly together including the motor but that's only if you're getting them brand new. not hard to do at all bro. need help? give me a shout 647 822 8535

I used to have a 96 civic, and I had the same problem its an easy fix i think the part is about $30 from the deal its just a bitch to get to sometimes.

Its a crappy flaw in the design

thanks alot, I appreciate the help, but I've done it before - what I'm wondering though - is there any reason why it keeps on breaking? Is it the windshield wipers I'm using? Because I got those reflex wiper blades from crappy tire on there now

the linkages dry up from moisture bro it's just something that wears and tears over time. it happens to the best of us and i don't believe having a specific kind of wiper on your wiper arm will make a difference as to how long the linkages will last you....i wish i had an explanation dood but i dont think there really is one....

Alright then, well I managed to pick up a new (used) wiper motor with the rods and everything, so we can only hope that will fix my problem

thanks for all the help!
