Frame Repair

I bought my bros Integra. He got into a fender bender and
I've replaced the hood and the light. I now need to fix the rad support. Has anyone tried doing this themselves. I figure I can at least try.

Would a body shop weld a new one or try straigtening it?
How much would it cost?

you can do it yourself, people have done JDM fronts where you put on a new JDM rad support on and bolt it in. i woulden't suggest bolting it in myself; you should have it welded in. if you took it to a body shop, they would probably weld in an aftermarket made rad support, it'll be cheaper and easier to do. not sure on cost, that's something you'd have to ask them for.

chances are the it's just not the rad support that's bent. the corners might need a some straightening too. i suggest getting a few estimates done. probably won't cost more tha na few hundred bux. what year is your car.

My car is a 94. I don't need a professional job, just something decent. I just bought a house, so dumping money into this car is not an option. Any recommended body shops in Mississauga or surrounding area?

Can you buy an after market rad support?

FuzzyLS BRO 03-29-2006 12:13 PM

yes you can, it looks just like the factory rad support but will come in black, and it's just not made by honda for 1/2 the price.
