Hey guys..over the past few days, I noticed that when I start my car the "Ment Reqd" light flashes like 5 times and then it comes off. Anyone have any idea what's causing this. I have yet to take the car to get it checked out.

 

look in your owners manual, it tells you what it's for, how to reset it, etc.
basically it's a manual switch that operates solely on # of km's you put on the car, and really isn't "indicating" a problem

search the forums too, i know this has come up before (even very recently)

thanks for the info..i'll check it out..i think it's a solenoid below the steering column...

 

it's just a button under there.. but it's mentioned in the manual.
