F&F type 1 coilover adjustment.. how to?

I have Function&Form Type 1 coilovers on my car.

Question,

How do I raise/lower them when there on the car?

It says not to touch the 2 top collars as thats set for preload.

There is one collar near the bottom, that your supposed to turn to raise/lower. Now when its on car do you just loosen it and then twist the whole set up by hand somehow then re tighten the collar. Or do you have to take off the bottom bolt in the control arm and then turn it by hand?

thnx in advance.

Well when nizmo and I were adjusting his pics he removed the coilovers of the car and then adjusted when they were off using the c looking fork and then the rest by your hands.

When I did mine, I took 2 bolts out of rear lca to free up some room. One out of the hub and one from the bottom of the strut. You loosen the ring that sits against the mount and the mount will then move freely. For the front just take the fork out. Just the bottom 17mm and the 14mm that holds the fork on the strut.

Would be a good idea to coat the threads with some anti seize or heavy lube. When I installed coilovers on my friends vw, we got some 5th wheel greese that truckers use and covered all the exposed thread.

Just count the threads or get some measuring tape to make sure you get the same height in pairs for the front and back.

You took them right out of the car?? All you really have to do is release the weight of the car from them and then adjust lol To each his own I suppose :p
