Exhaust refinish

Is there anyway to restore the shine of a stainless steel exhaust?. If so how do you go about doing so.

maybe take it off and hit it up with a buffing wheel.

Spike 04-10-2009 11:20 AM

You need to sand it down, and then buff it using a buffing compound, and that will bring it back looking some what new again.

anyone clear coat this after sanding with 1000 grit?

Spike 04-19-2009 11:27 AM

Not unless you get high temp clear coat, and i don't think they make any of that. it would just burn off after.

tegra2g 04-19-2009 12:01 PM

just do the same thing as polishing your wheels, fuzzy has a DIY

jasonjai 04-19-2009 01:44 PM
