Default ETD Gen2 Traction Bars on DA/DB2 chassis

is there anybody on here running this system on their 90-93 chassis? i need a T/B system to run my new header. but, i've heard of the ETD gen1 bar failing. i'm willing to buy the Full Race, but, its twice the price. i need some input on the ETD. ETD is local, which is a benefit to me...but, i love life and don't need a bar failing on me as i drive. actually, i appreciate any input on whatever system you run...ETD Gen2, FR, Jimfab.. whatever. TIA

gen 2 has fixed the problems gen 1 was suffering from. and i'm sure the only time the gen 1's broke were under heavy race conditions.

use the bar that will make you not be able to use that nice header you just bought...wink wink.

i'm in the same boat i'll have to go with the ETD. i'm not gonna be drag racing my main purpose for it is to clear the header. i'm not sure but by the looks of the traction bar the front engine mount becomes useless. if that's the case i'm gonna take it to a custom fab shop and have a bracket welded to it.

i have always wondered about these things, what do they do exactly? let you cut out the front member for more room? or do the add rigidity to the front end or is it both

the Gen1 bar failed on a few people...thats a fine ------' line, man. its a live or die situation depending on what speed and where you are travelling if/when the ETD system fails. i have yet to find people that have had the Z10or Full Race system fail on them. i need actual user input. i'm starting to believe there is a reason why nobody has any experience with these particular bars on the 90-93 chassis.

Z- you got first dibs if all else fails

Edit:to me, it just seems like there is very little R&D or CAD design on the DA bars. it sems like a hit and miss situation

I have heard lots of failures on the Etd gen 1's. the only one with good reviews are the z10's.
But no that many people use these traction bars on Da's and thats why there aren't lots of good reviews. but i remember there was a thread on g2ic where a guy had the etd bar fail on him a couple or more times.Once on the highway at 70mph

here's a link to the one on g2ic. lots of hype over the Avid bar that's coming out for $320.
