Engine valve
 
Hi everyone i just bought an engine valve cover for my engine and planning to paint it with blue but thinking of any other way to strip the original paint on it like using paint thinner Tnx (",)

You wanna do alot of sanding? Lol

Paint stripper will do you wonders.

Lol @ blue.

Yeah lotsa paint stripper/scrub then wash it down and dry it. Once its clean, blast away with the paint and let it dry. 2-3 light coats with 5mins inbetween should be good enough.

Bro D.t.p i'm working on blue interior and under the hood too (my fav. color) one of this days i'l come in the meet tnx for the msg.

There is a stripper that is for removing paint from air plains. it works way better then paint thinner out there. Just you need to wear gloves when using this stuff, because it will burn your skin if you get in on you, but it will remove all the paint in a few minutes.

Or you can get it sand blasted which works really well.

The best is aircraft paint stripper...it pretty much destroys the paint and all you will need is to just wipe it and watch the paint fall off. Also, gloves are required as it's very strong.
