Hydrolocked in that dirty rain storm friday and blew a rod through the block. Now acura won't honor my warranty.

Ouch. That's gotta suck. I'm sure their were lots of these cases on Friday. Best of luck to you with the engine.

Dude, that sucks. I don't mean to plug another club, but since TI and HADA are affiliated, I don't see why not. But if your head is still good and you just want a short block from the factory (below head gasket to oil pan) with full factory warrantee, HADA members get 30% off all factory parts. Since membership I believe is half price now to the end of the year, it might be in your best interest to join just to get the discount - even if you have no interest in racing competitively. It will cost more to go this route than a low mileage import, but it does come with more peace of mind. Food for thought. And your head might be fubared anyway so this whole suggestion could be moot.

Waiting for the word on if the valves are mashed up. Gonna go through insurance I think anyways so I have to wait to see what the adjuster will give me. Thanks for the suggestion...

if you get a new motor does that mean you're gonna sell that top end or atleast part it out?
