B20 is just an LS with larger displacement. They're a little more but equaly reliable, if not more since CR-Vs are hardly ever driven very hard. B20B are lower compression, can handle more boost and safer on boost. B20Z are higher compression thus can make similar power at lower boost. They do have thinner walls than the LS so a block guard isn't a bad idea - think they're like 80 bucks plus a new head gasket if it's needed. B16s love to rev, make great horsepower, ---- torque and hate boost in stock form. Fantastic rod-to-stroke ratio. With springs and retainers can run over 9Gs and keep making power the higher you rev - keep in mind retainers are a wear item and need to be changed every 10K. Revving does endose valve float and the faster things go the more likely small mechanic problems can become disasterous. Engine options youl listed are up to what floats your boat - hp or torque or both at the cost of reliability.
IMO, turbo and reliability shouldn't be spoken in the same sentence. Others might disagree. Never had a turbo setup - I just feel there's more parts needed, more to go wrong, far more heat and stress added, lots of tuning needed and you need to keep a close eye on it all the time to make sure it's running right. Plus it's so easy to just keep turning up that boost every time you get used to the last boost level.
