Ebay Turbo VS LS VTEC
 

Hey guys im looking to either ebay turbo(yes i know,i have read all about it and im not to sure what to think) which costs about 600 dollars on ebay, or do a ls vtec conversion. I got my teggy about a month ago im still pretty new to this stuff. give me your opinion and why

Hello Dominic, okay so these ebay turbo kits argh so many mixed opinions on them, I have heard good things and HORRIBLE things, now the parts are cheap that you get with the ebay kit, cheap parts = bad reliability , now with a turbo you will see lots of power but loose that reliability, now ls vtec is not cheap but you have the reliability if built properly. You don't get as much power but you get a consistant power band oppose to a turbo. This is what I would do you want a turbo, look for someone selling a used kit thats a brand name and you may get same price or add a few hundred dollars but you will have that in the back of your mind saying it's something decent oppse to an ebay turbo.

I know people run the ebay turbos and have no problems but it's something that can't win my trust. i dunno if this helps or just makes you more confused post up any other questions you may have happy to answer :)
