Does the heater kill your gas?
 

It seems since the temperature dropped, my fuel mileage has done the same? Anyone experiencing this? How much can a gen 2 go for? I think its 35L full and i get just under 400K....

Its not the heater, but you car does use more gas while the engine is warming up. Since it takes longer to warm up in the winter, you use more gas. Also, check your tire pressures. They can decrease quite a bit in the cold weather which will cause a reduction in mileage.

right now that's all the time, lol... jk... will do that... hard to get to the gas station though and not heat them up along the way

just buy a tire pressure guage. thats one of the first tihngs i bought wen i got my car. theyre only like 8 bucks, well the good ones. i hadnt checked my tires in awhile and a coouple weeks ago i noticed they looked low so ofcourse i checked them right away. my tires dropped quite a bit in the cold. i had them stiff and they dropped down to 25lbs. pumped them back a lil less stiff to 35. 30 is recommened but i like my tires stiffer.car felt ALOt better after i pumped them up. there are also other reasons ur car burns more gas now that its cold. and, heater will not kill ur gas.

I prefer 30 in the winter if not even a little lower. I prefer the larger contact patch in the winter. I find with harder tires, the car is more likely to get thrown about in the ruts on the road in the snow. My brothers car was getting squirrely on parts of the Gardner till I told him to drop the pressures and the problem went away.
