Distributor Squeak?
 

So my 1990 Acura Integra has a bad squeak and it seems to be coming from the distributor. It is a B18B engine. I took the distributor cap off and it is covered with red dust on the inside. Not really sure what to do.

I've never heard of a distributor squeaking before... the dust is normal.

Can you describe the noise with more detail?

Only at idle?
goes up and down with rpm?
Constant or intermittent?

the bearing in the dizzy may be shot. it happens.

ya i messed around with it and got it apart and its the bearing

might as well to to an importer and pick up a complete dizzy for something like $150

Yes just get a new dizzy. From what i hear, its a pain to find seals and all parts for distributors. Easier just to pick one up from scrapper or importers.

Hell its 1990 as you said, so obd0? i got one laying around. LMK if you want it.
