Deck removal
I want to add my stereo to my 94 RS, it came with a cd deck, but I need to remove it to install rca cables, just wondering how to remove it:wtf2:
|
you have to remove the center console in order for you to reach it
so here's some quick things to remove in order to get to certain bolts. 2 screws behind the ashtray, two screws beneath the cover under the e-brake, and 2 screws i believe behind the cig assembly, and 1 screw per side on the front of the console. passenger and driver side. |
so this is going to take a long time :willy:
|
you could try to reach around and plug it in through the back
its tight but it might work :shurg: |
^yeah you could also try that too.
as for long? naw, about 20 mins i would say, but if you want to be careful i'd say 45 mins to be on the safe side :p and remember if its not budging that means there's still a screw left. |
If you know where the input are on your deck then yes you can, I've tried pluging in cable without taking everything apart but it can get highly frustrating.

did you get deck keys with it if not go get some and just stick them in and put her out.
