http://www.g2ic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30796 What I’m thinking is that a may want to machine the DA fork to fit the DC shock A little shaving of the opening and a little heating and stretching. The reason I’m thinking of other options is I don’t like the idea that the CV shafts will rub. let me know what you think? The EF/DA forks have an ID of 1.502" and the EG ones were 1.650". Shaving....heating.....stretching....suspension components?
Gee, how about NO. |
First I'd try to see if I could force the DC shocks in the DA forks. Then I'd probably dremel the hole bigger if I couldn't. The .148 difference is minimal. Rust and paint is thicker than that.
But in general...I'd go with what Ryan said above. |
wait, what's the point of having DC shocks on a DA?
|
Cuz most high dolla shock and coilover makers (Tein, JIC etc) don't make DA parts.
|
That's not entirely true...
The strut travel length is shorter on the EG/DC unit. They have short, fat struts, wheras the DA has long, skinny struts, with long travel. On lowered DAs, the tendency to bottom out the strut is far greater with the DA/EF units. |
Tein makes coil overs for DA's. i seen dem wif mah own eyes
