Compustar Owner

I am wondering anyone out there is having problem with their alarm on rainy, wet, condense day?

i mean for example that their doors are not locking...etc...

TwoSix 03-09-2006 08:50 PM

where did u get it installed?

i had a problem where my remote kept resetting, but i got that fixed

tell us exactly whats happening, like when u push "x" button whar is supposed to happen and what acctually happens...that will give us a better outlet to help you

for the example of the door lock, when u try the lock/unlock swithc in the car does it work all the time? if not then that could be the problem

but i'm guessting it has somehting to do with the install

hopw that helps

Same place in scarborough.

well, basically my remote tells me that my doors are unlock and it gives me the 3 beep every time i try to arm it. This only happens when weather is wet, damp.

Hi,

If you like stop buy our shop and we will have a look at it as we are an authorized Compustar Dealer.

It may be wiring or the brain location

Thanks

I find alot of the time the problem is that water drips and makes the connection for the hood pin making the car think the hood is open. You have to put the hood pin in better place (drips of water complete the circuit on the hood pin) or remove it altogether (unplugging it is fine if you want) But Ill bet that is the problem.

mine ..has the same problem ..

but my pager says the windows are open ..its wierd .. after it dries up a bit ..it works like a charm

Says the doors are unlocked right? (The little lock pin starts showing at the door) Its the hood pin. It will say the same thing when the hood is open (and thats what the brain thinks is happening) Trust me guys.

...and that is why Jeff at AH suggested to go with the mercury level switch when I got mine installed.

Hi,

That is right. Those cheap pin switch are the problem most of the time and most shops insist on using them still. We go that extra mile for our cusomters and even though they are ALOT more expensive we still choose to include them in our price and upgrade the cheap pin switch to a mercury sensor :)

Thanks

I had mine installed with the pin switch as well as DOOD on this site - from audioheaven.

Hi,

We recently started using the tilt sensors because we did notice a problem with the pin switches.

I would say within the last 6 months or so

Thanks for your time

No problem - I have not had a problem with my pin switch anyways.

Audioheaven is still the best for alarms and starters. :)
