Default compustar alarm problem

Got sort of a weird problem.

Background: Bought my teg last year and it already had a 2 way compustar alarm on it, but I only ever had a 1 way remote, until now (just got a 2 way, the old blue one - 2WFMR). When i bought the car, the guy said he lost the 2 way remote, so thats why. It had a remote paging system on the car, which the guy also told me he had disconnected (not sure if this is a programming function, or wiring).

My car was broken into in October and the system was jacked (stay away from Yorkdale :s ). The theif cut the siren wires, but thats it as far as I know.

Problem: Programmed the remote, and it works, as far as sending signals to the car and performing all the functions, but i cant get any signal back to the remote, meaning I have no way of knowing the status of my car. Nothing on the lcd works... Checked the remote and it is fine so thats not the problem.

Any body have any ideas? Are there any special settings that I might not know about? or maybe its something more complex? Could it be a cut wire from when my car was broken into? Its like my 2 way remote is functioning as a 1 way....

HELP!

perhaps try pressing 1and3 together, it might be in valet mode.
thats just a thought, since you are able to communicate with the brain.

If that doesn't work and you don't mind making the trek to Richmond Hill, go and see Jeff @ Audio Heaven.

He'll fix it.
