Coil Over Problem
Hey guys,
I bought winters for my 94 RS Teg but now ran into a problem ... the tires sit an inch higher then my fender. From the ground to the fender is 22 inches .. and the total size for the rims and tires is 22.74 inches. I got 14" steelies with 185/60/14 tires ... this was the recommended stock size tires for Tegs I was told so that means lowest I can go. My question is, I want to raise my coil overs then but I don't have that stupid tool to raise them cause it never came with the car when I bought it so I want to know if there is any other way to raise them? I don't care if it's something crude like using a wrench or something, I just need the car raised about an inch. Thanks in advance Simon |
Depends on what type of coilovers you're running. That would help. I think there are quite a few ppl on the board the tool though, from my understanding they are fairly generic.
I don't know where k-dub is, kitchener? I have one in Scarlem if you want to come out here. |
are u talking about that hook-look-alike tool? cuz i raise mine without that, u just gotta loosen the allen key nut

Thanks guys .. and yeah, it was the hook like tool .. wish I knew what coil overs were on it but they were on there when I got the car. Anyways, me and my dad found a way to raise them now, it was a bitch but it'll work. Leavin it for another day when I'm not sick with a cold though.
Thanks again all for the quick and helpful replies :yeah:  |
Spray some lube on the sleeves and use a toothbrush on the sleeves as well to get out all rock, sand etc.
