clutch and tranny problems!

so lately the clutch has been feeling pretty spongy and had little engagement in the clutch. sometimes couldnt even get into gear. so i flushed the fluid and it was fine for a couple days and then same problem. the slave cylinder was replaced 4 months ago along with a new clutch, pressure plate and flywheel. checked the master cylinder and looked like it was leaking so i replaced it. i installed everything and began to bleed the clutch. but unlike the last time i tried to bleed the clutch the brake fluid in the reservoir is not going down as quickly as before. what could the problem be? air in the line maybe.
i ended up just leaving it and had to move my car out the driveway and as i was backing it up it just stalled and now the car is stuck in reverse. cant shift into gears on or off. could this be the throwout bearing going bad even though its only a few months old or maybe the shifter linkage

Probably air left over in the line...

Try pumping the clutch pedal and see if this relieves the problem somewhat or lets you engage/disengage. That's signs of air in the lines.

The throwout bearing going would also cause you to not be able to go in or out of gear, but once it's gone it's gone, the only remedy's to replace it.. but it's been done a couple months ago, so it's unlikely I think.

I'd recommend getting somebody to check it out if you can. They'll be able to tell you most likely

How does the clutch pedal feel?

its right to the floor. i replaced the master and slave today to see if they were the problem but fluid just wont bleed out. the fluid in the reservoir wont go down. pumped the clutch with the cap off to see what the fluid was doing and the fluid inthe reservoir just bubbles up. its not stuck in reverse anymore so im pretty sure its gotta be something in the hydraulics.

Check the line running from the master to slave. Maybe it has a leak or it's been kinked or something...

Its hard to bleed a system sometimes, should have bench bled it and just loosen the line in the same manner you would with a bleeder. Air goes up and bleeder is pretty much the lowest point, so it takes forever to get it all the way down to slave.

Oh and throw out bearing would make noises when clutch is depressed.

thanks for all the help guys. the new master i had purchased was faulty. it seemed that there was a slight clog from where the clutch line comes from the master so thats why the fluid in the reservoir kept bubbling and coming back up. picked up another and everything went well. replaced the slave too. thanks again everyone for the input
