Default clutch pedal adjustment

on my clutch pedal when i press it down, there's about 1/2" to 3/4" where it's just dead pedal.. it goes down with little force and you can actually feel where it's finally gripping. it's hard to explain.... but this has been happening for a long time and i thought it was normal....

how can i adjust the pedal so there's no "dead space"

does anybody else have this issue?

thanks.

there should be a adjusting nut under the pedal.

I did it way back when I first got my car.

Lay on your back and look underneath, you'll see the stopper, unplug the harness and screw it in more to where you want it.

Plug the harness back in. Done.
