Cluster Problems

My spedometer aswell as my gas and temp gauge all seem to be off....

My spedometer is always about 15-20km/hr off from my actual speed....i have compared it against my friends new car and my gps...

when my car is fully warmed up...the temp guage only goes to 1/4

and my gas light turns on at just over 1/4 tank reading...and once it hits the line for empty...its running on fumes lol...caused me many headaches lol stranded with no gas

ive had this problem ever since i bought it a couple months ago...

i have swapped clusters...still the same problem...

if it was just the spedo...i wud think vehicle speed sensor...but it is happening to all the guages...the tach seems ok though

the car is a 96 integra rs...any suggestions or help will be much appreciated

cheers, Ryan

what size wheels/tires are you using?
Larger or smaller than stock will cause the speedo to be off.

About your gas guage, the fuel level sending unit could be faulty, causing an improper reading, check it out, its in the gas tank.
And its normal for the temp guage to only go a 1/4 or 1/3 of the way up from "C", if it goes much past that, i'd be worried the car is heatin up past normal operation.

the tires are stock steelies....the rubber is the same size as stock from what i believe....is it even worth going threw the gas tank to see whats wrong? is it a big job?

dont go to the gas tank....... i dont see how it could be the sending unit, if everything else is also proportionately off...

plus, sending unit problems in tegs are typically during hot summer days where the sending unit sticks sometimes, and your gas reading drops way down......
