Clunking noise
 

Their is this clunking noise when i turn the wheel on this car and this mechanic said it needs a new tranny. But if it's the tranny, wouldn't it be gridning or wouldn't go into gear?

The parking boot is still on from the impound yard

oh so funny. It's not my car, its another car that im suppose to buy.

its probably a torn cv boot. go have a look at them both to see which side needs a replacing.. if u ever gon replace them, dont just change the boot itself, i recommend changing the whole drive shaft (axle). u can get them for $90 in Part Source...same thing happened to my car..this is what i did..well worth it..good luck
