car won't start

happy holidays everyone,
here's my problem: car sat idle for a few weeks in the cold, started it up on friday for a couple of minutes to move it out of the drive way to move some stuff,
turned it off and tried turning it back on 10 minutes later but it wouldn't start. It's not the starter and it's not the battery cause it's pretty new and I already tried boosting it, so what else can it be? I ended up having to ditch the car in waterloo for the weekend and hitch a ride back to toronto..
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Ice and snow under the clutch pedal

It's cranking when I try starting the car. I hear the usual chugging sound before the engine starts but in this case the engine doesn't start and it just keeps chugging. I'm thinking it's time to change my spark plugs.

put the car inside somewhere for a day. it'll start the next morning.

do you hear your fuel pump turning on at all?

can you vertify that your getting spark?

just got back from waterloo and the car's still stuck there...
Tried changing the spark plugs and wires; still no luck.

BTW, I noticed that there's a spark coming out of the distributor cap when I try cranking the car. So, is it the cap, rotor or should I just change both?

change both...they go hand in hand. should always be changed at the same time

sounds like it may be a distributor problem. believe me, i know all about that. so does Dave.

mind you, if you're seeing sparks fly outta your cap...get a new one. it may solve your problem.
