Depends on how deep - you may be able to buff it but I would touch it up carefully and then use a high speed and a few compounds on it.

ginxer86 11-01-2007 07:49 PM

okay..
so im thinking i should get a tooth pick and dip it in touch up paint and fill in the scratches..
wait for it to dry...
wash the area and dry... and then put compound on it and buff it out?
how will i know when to stop buffing?

dc24me 11-01-2007 11:00 PM

that sucks.

what color is it and is the scratch down to the primer? if it's deep you can always use touch up paint, wetsand, buff it and hopefully it will blend right it. it's a lot of work and probably an experienced detailer would be able to do it, but chances are at that price, you're probably better off getting the door repainted....

JDM_overdose 11-02-2007 08:47 AM

scratch doctor DOES NOT WORK!!! lol. Don't waste 12$. Get a rubbing compound!

smith_customs 11-02-2007 09:07 AM

post pics hard to give advice if we cant see what ur working with.

tegra 11-02-2007 05:13 PM

theres some scratch wizzard guy thats in the gta area. i work at honda and he does all the dealership cars all the time so he must be good.

ginxer86 11-02-2007 09:04 PM

pics will be up very soon

ginxer86 11-02-2007 09:05 PM

btw how do i find my compustar brain.. need to change the shock sensitivity on it

STRTLGL 11-02-2007 09:13 PM

^That Scratch Wizard guy is a joke. All he can do is surface scratches and things light like road rash. If the scratch is down to the primer or metal then he is useless.

I say, watersanding may help or just get the whole door repainted. And pictures will certainly help us to help you.

WildoutWhiteGSR 11-03-2007 12:48 AM

You'll need to get it repainted...anything else is for minor blemishes.

ginxer86 11-16-2007 02:36 PM

if i need to get it repainted how much will that cost?

WildoutWhiteGSR 11-16-2007 04:37 PM

no one will be able to tell you that over the phone or the internet. You'll have to bring it in the body shop.

The one's that can tell you over the phone are the one's to avoid.

HKJ 11-16-2007 05:03 PM

damn that sucks. who did you piss off? :P

turboda4dr 11-17-2007 01:15 AM

theres a mobile paint guy really good!!!! he also works for honda (may be same person). he did my teg wr the quarter panel rust n also did my benz wen kids bike scartch it ( pretty bad). on both ride u cant even tell.i even brought my teg to my bud body shop n he can barely notice. ill try to find his # for u

IntegraJoe 11-17-2007 01:35 AM

ur gonna have to get it painted...try getting a quote from erin mills acura. The manager ryan hooked it up when they painted my skirts. They have reasonable rates for a dealership

but thats sucks that someone would do such a stupid thing

spoom 12-24-2007 11:21 PM

damn dat looks so bad i woudnt drive dat around id color that right away with any black paint/spray paint

Powered By Integra 12-25-2007 08:49 AM

ok i kno this thread is old but i kno someone at a body shop who is kinda pricey but he will make it look like brand new n u won't even tell the difference in the color. If interested e-mail me at hammad_qazi@hotmail.com If the car is painted or touched up already than do not reply to my post. EZ

ginxer86 12-25-2007 06:16 PM

yeah it does suck driving that around..
i'm gonna get it fixed soon..
i'm wondering how much its gonna cost me though

slvr_dc2 12-27-2007 01:29 PM

How much are you willing to spend? You can probably get it done for a couple hundred bucks...It's not cheap, but to get the job done properly, its probably your best bet.

Sucks that people can't respect others' property, thats a dickhead move by them...

If you're looking for a quick fix just to hide it..I'd suggest touching it up and wetsanding. I do detailing on the side and can help you if you want...

ginxer86 02-29-2008 02:42 PM

I finally got off my lazy ass and ran some touchup paint on it.. it looks 10 times better but still i can see it on a angle...
should i wet sand it and use some rubbing compound and buff it?..
how's turtle wax rubbing compound and this buffer?
