Can Wet sanding fix this? ;) pics attached
My left headlight was bit fogged up for a while, so recently, someone adviced to use brake oil to clean it up..
well, it looked brand new for 2 days.. until yesterday..i saw this!! http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/145/imgp0146fq8.jpg I guess I should've rinsed or maybe it was a totally fucked up idea.. can I wet sand it out? |
brake oil?? that ---- is pretty corrosive. so i'm not sure
|
I know ------ mazda forums and stupid buddy at work who encourged it!! It was already foggy and spider cracking b4 though..
Anyone selling their headlights or do I have to resort to ricer halo ones? |
just buy yourself some 1000 grit sandpaper and get to work. Then after your done that use some Meguiar's plastic polish to finish up
|
how much does a new headlight go for?
|
Look in the for sale section. I'm sure someone has a set lying around. New headlight costs an arm and a leg so go to the scrap yard.

but wetsand with the 1000 grit, then follow with some 2000 grit...then polish with the plastic polish, then follow up with a couple coats of wax.... |
Alot of car forums suggest putting brake fluid on things when they are ------- around. Brake fluid is highly corrosive and eats up whatever part your're putting it on. (usually suggested on paint)
