Burned the "running" light fuse
 

I think? Well anyways, I got my third brake light working, but after I turned on the car and turned the lights on one click (all other lights on except for headlights) everything just went off. The brake lights didnt turn on, the turn signals werent on, the interior lights were all off. Im not sure if thats called the running light but yeah all of that is off until I step on the brakes then everything lights up.

Does anyone know which fuse caused that, because right now im not sure which. Thanks in advance!

simular thing happened to me when i wired up my 3rd brake light. it was the ground that fucked everything up, and a couple of fuses -- forgot which ones though :/

did you try pulling, and checking all the fuses that are associated with the lights?

There is a running light relay under the dash. It's a grey box I believe with several wires running to it. If it's not the fuse, that relay would probably be the culprit. But start with the grounds. It's cheaper. I believe the relay is like 80 bucks from the dealer.

Nevermind..I found the culprit, it was the "Interior Lights, Brake lights and Licence Plate lights" fuse.

But the weird thing is now everytime I step on the brake, all those lights mentioned above go on..so my front turn signals light up, my rear brake lights light up, third brake light lights up everytime I step on the brake..wtf???????

^^ Well I don't think your brake lights and third brake lights lighting up when you hit the brakes is a problem :lol:

The turn signals though, that's weird...

jonn, in that case it is likely that the wire connecting to the brake lights and the wire conecting to the turn signals have spliced eachtother somehow, somewhere.

when u turn the signal lights on do ur brake lights come on?
