I noticed that my passenger side brake light was gone so I went and bought a pair of 1157 bulbs. I replaced both bulbs but it seems that the driver side bulb is much brighter than the passenger side. I tried changing up the bulbs, but I still have this issue. The passenger side tail light/brake light is much dimmer than the other side. Any help is appreciated.

 

try checking the fuse responsible for lighting in your fuse box?

 

check the grounds for the rear hatch or trunk harness could be a bad ground

 

where will i find the ground wires for the rear tail lights

 

not to sure where exactly but if u remove the plastic in the trunk the one that covers ur tailights from the inside and look at the wire harness for the tailight that is very dim and there should be black wire splice into the connect another wire to that splice and touch it to a bolt head that has no paint on it and c if it makes a difference if it does then u have a ground issue and u can just do that same method but make it permanent and remember to tape up and bare wires so u dont cause problems in the future
