I have no idea about the problem but I would like to sugest something: Sell it and buy a manual.
|
all my other cars are stick this one is my wifes
|
My dad's corolla used to have the same problem. He had to get the tranny replaced.
|
one of the servos or clutches maybe or bands slipping, either way you look at it the only way to fix it is to deal with it, or trans overhaul wich is pricy, might be better of with a used trans.
|
thanx its good to get some real tech advise from someone who sounds like they kno what they are talking about.
the problem comes and goes sometimes the trans works fine and when it f-in around i can only get fist gear by putting it in 2 |
ive overhauled two automatic transaxels in school there such a nightmare it makes doing an engine easy in comparisson, i would never want to specialize in transmission work for a living but manual is a totaly difernt ballgame just a input and counter shaft, and some gears and synchronizers and shift rails much eaisier to take aprt and work with, the toughest part is disasembeling and reasemeling the synchros which isn't very tough at all. Automatics have a million differnt parts in them and the powerflow in each gear is super confusing to be able to state it on paper to someone or explain to them. It's really briliant i have lots of respect for people who disign these things.

When is the problem occuring? Under what parameters? When its cold out, when the engine reaches operating temperatures, etc.
I'm hoping you've already checked the fluid level? |
the problem occurs at random . i checked and changed the fluid and put 3 litres of honda fluid
|
Did you have the system flushed, or did you just remove one of the lower transmission lines?
If you did the latter of the 2, then you didn't empty the torque converter, which holds the majority of fluid. |
Also, when are you checking the fluid level? Honda's are checked with the vehicle off.
The full transmission system holds well over 3 litres. |
how much more ?
the fluid was drained from the drain plug |
Check your owners manual; you'll never be able to empty your torque converter just by draining it. I believe your full system holds between 5-7 litres.

|
thanx lots dude
i will check it out again i will let you know the outcome thanx again |
we think the problem is fixed
there was a broken plug on the tranny we replaced the part and it seems to be working fine now i hope that was the problem |
