Automatic tranny question

I have my first automatic integra, and i have noticed a weird vibration when the car warms up. The transmission will upshift into fourth gear and if you slow down to around 40 kms it stays in fourth gear and starts to vibrate, just like you are driving in too high of a gear for the required scenario. The issue is if I keep it in D3, it doesn't do it as it won't shift into fourth. It makes it a pain in the ass for city driving as It's constantly doing so and drops the rpms down to around 1000 rpm where it does it the worst. If i drive in D3 then switch to D4 for highway driving its fine.

At first I thought it was a chatter from the torque converter as thats a pretty common thing in the newer Hondas, so I ordered in a torque and put it in, same thing. Took it to a tranny shop and they told me it felt like torque chatter, I told them I replaced it and they told me to change the Torque Clutch control solenoid, which I had already done, so they didn't know what to tell me.

The thing is the tranny shifts perfect, I don't know if this is normal as I have never drove an Auto teg before........anyone have any insight?

No that is not normal. It's something in side the transmission. It could be lots of things that could be making it do that, from something blocking the valve body passages, to a clutch band starting to slip, clutch pack not getting the right pressure, it could be any thing. But I would say the transmission need to be taken out and taken apart and look at to fine the problem, because over a forum, you'll never get a for sure answer.
