My car is a GS model integra, im hoping to remove abs sometime this summer to free up the engine bay, has anyone here done it before on a da? I found some writeups but im not too mechanically inclined just yet.(im still a newbie). Anyone know how much it'll cost? Just a ball park.

I've got a picture some where that will give you the info to make it a bolt on. I'll post it later. The ABS MC uses a larger port in the rear (12x1) so keep that in mind.

I can't really share much on mine delete as I plan to tuck my lines at the same time so.

Your insane; why would you want to delete your abs? The benefits far outweigh the weight savings...

Having bigger brakes won't resist wheel lock up; increasing traction is the only way to alleviate wheel lockup.

No one on this forum qualifies... Preventing wheel lock up is one less thing for a driver to concentrate on, when he's already overloaded.

If you'd like, feel free to provide a list...

I can tell you now, that none of them can out-do a properly operating ABS system.

I was talking to BVAN when I said I doubt it.

and I never said I knew anyone on the board that could... I just asked that question for arguments sake.

Apologies;

It just seems that now adays, too frequently people feel the need to create an arguement without any supporting evidence...

If you'd like, I can give a helping hand, so long as you have all the replacement parts gathered. I'm only available on weekends. At least until May.

And if you installed ABS, you'd stop even faster, and keep your ability to control the vehicle...

Point made.

ABS can lick my ---- encrusted -------. I hate it with a burning passion and have removed it from many vehicles I have owned.

I value other peoples opinions, expect when it concerns ABS. It ------- suck large donkey dick and I can't stand it.

My Jeeps had it yanked because I got sick and tired of sliding down rock faces and having to dodge ---- because my ABS kicked in. Without it I could stop the truck on an almost vertical angle when descending things.
