alternator

Does anyone know if an alternator from a 95 b18b will bolt up correctly. On a 2000 b18b motor.

I'm asking because i have a highoutput alternator in my car right now and i will be swaping in my cuz's 2000 motor.

IF it fits i want to keep it if not i need to get another one that will work properly.

Thanks for the help

Yes it will fit, as it's still the same engine.

Assuming you will be doing an OBD-II to OBD-I conversion, then yes all will be fine.

95 is when they started to go to OBD2, it was just later in the year when they did. I work on cars every day, I know.

The practice accepts the 1996+ standard, but i appreciate the remedial training.

I also happen to own an OBD-I 1995 GSR.

Your right Carl, but so is Spike.

They started equipping cars up to OBD-II standards beginning in late 1995; but not nearly enough to make mention.
