Alarm Question

I purchased a compu start 2 way paging system probably about 2 years ago now. About a month ago my remote would work but my car would not respond. It would only happen when I am ready to get in my car in the mornings. It happen maybe once or twice a week.
As of right now, the car hardly responds to the remote. I haven't done any modifications to my car in the past 2 years, an I haven't tampered with the alarm. At the moment I have to put it on sleep mode so the car isn't capable of auto starting. When on sleep mode my alarm doesn't go off so I am able to use my key. When it is on the starter mode, my alarm will go off when I open my door with the key so I leave it on sleep. The remote tries to look for the signal but when the button is pressed the unlock/lock symbol dims and than thats all.

Do you guys know what the problem might be? I don't want my alarm system to not work

Thanks Guys

Did you change the battery in the remote?

Ya the battery on the alarm has been changed, it use to work all the time and than it just started happening. I picked this up about 2 years ago and it worked all of last winter. When the alarm is armed and the remote isn't responding, when I open the door with the key the alarm will go off and my remote will notify me. But it won't let me turn it off so I have to use the key.

I know you said you didn't change anything but maybe something came loose? try making sure that the plugs are in all the way, starting with the antenae wire.
