aftermarket mods.

ey just curious to know something. Im going to be puttin alot of aftermarket parts in my motor like rite now i have parts installed and drove with. But im wondering wit a cold air intake. cam gears, flywheel, msd ignition, skunk 2 intake manifold, walbro fuel pump, aem pressure reg fuel rail, injectors .. will this run like ass? if i install all of it and drive? wat im askin is do i have to tune this ?or shud i be fine?

also wat itr sway bar fits the da is it the 96 model? the 22mm?

wat does backfiring mean? i started car last week i havent drove it for 5 or 6 months. Been stored in my driveway, does it do that cuz i havent driven or started it for a long time.? thanks guy just wanna have a smooth ride for spring.

also to fix leakin tails? do i just need to take tails out and put new gaskets? do i use silicone and wats the material you used to do the job?

thanks brett.

wow not to offend you or anything, but you just wasted a lot of money on the things below.

msd
fuel rail
injectors
and fuel pump

If you install the fuel related items in your car now and hope to drive it, you'll be running pig rich. Even if you lower your fuel pressure with the regulator it still won't help and the car will fall flat on it's face.

Do you have atleast something else installed that required these fuel mods? Cams, supercharger, increased compression?

Now the cai, flywheel, cam gears and skunk 2 intake manifold are good upgrades. Nothing wrong with those.

If you still plan on installing the fuel mods, then you need to add these things to you list.

-fuel pressure gauge
-crome/uberdata/hondata or neptune
-wideband gauge

Then find someone that's local that's able to tune your motor.

No clue what sway bars fits on a DA, Mark would know for sure, maybe he can chime in.

To fix you leaking tails depends on where it's leaking from, but silicone usually works.

i have no f'ing clue. theres a how to on g2ic on how to get a itr swaybar to fit but you need brackets and stuff

RRRex 02-18-2006 09:22 AM

I'm not sure why you're messing with your fuel system unless you've done more mods that aren't listed. Sounds like your car is in desperate need of a good tune.

FuzzyLS BRO 02-18-2006 11:07 AM

ok ciao.

non-VTEC 02-18-2006 11:47 AM

your car will probably run like complete ass with those fuel system mods.....there totally not necessary on a stock motor.......

Gs-R-edline 02-18-2006 12:07 PM

I mean ..really you might as well cut to the chase and boost it....make that stuff worth while!

ey sorry motor not stock hass a type r valve train type r cams new pistons basically i did a lil bit of build over the winter so motor isnt stock at all i got fuel upgrade for my cams and it not a huge fuel pump it's 1 steup up from my oem fuel pump. Which wont cause my car to run like ---- or too rich. I got it so my car can run abit more stronger.. pumpin a lil bit more fuel for my cams and pistons. i got the msd because it allows the car to idle better more flow car runs smoother with it i noticed. I hope to run a high 13 sec car which i kno i will. It ran 14.5 in the other guys car and he had a full kit and 18 inch rims pretty much his car was way heavier then mine. well c but keep the info coming.

brett 02-18-2006 12:51 PM

i got a bunch of ---- under the hood but i dont wanna tell u wat it is.. its a surprise for springg.. i show u a sick b17a1 setup

LivinLow 02-18-2006 01:04 PM

ok well you just answerd you're own question, asking us for help then saying you're fuel stuff will make it do this and that and igition it will idle smoother etc.

Why did we have to help you if you already know the answer.

rey 02-18-2006 01:07 PM

Type R Valetrain and Type R cams do not require fuel upgrades. MSD is placebo give or take. Wayne in his integra was running around 12.9:1 compression and took out his MSD setup.

13's ain't happening. Sorry man. You gotta be realistic.

You don't even have anyway of tuning your current setup, unless you haven't mentioned it.

PS...I feel sorry for you, when Fuzzy in his LS when be there saying, I told you so out the window, as he pulls ahead with his honda bounce Yo!

^ Just poking fun :p
