i threw a code 2 which is 02 sensor im assuming my o2 sensor is fucked?

could be bad gas or a problem with your cat too. Had the same problem a few years back. The egg smell is sulfur from the gas.

Best thread title by far!

my bro had the same problem in 2 different cars and they both were because the battery had exploded and the vent sucked in all the smell so my guess id to check it and see if it is still good

jasonjai Aug 28, 2008 09:44 PM

Had a similar problem in my old civic, it was the battery going bad.

On the other hand, same smell could be a plastic bag melted onto your catalytic convertor heat shield, if its that, just hoist it up and scrape off that plastic bag! (Happened to me too.)

Good luck, hope this helps.

Make sure you dont have a natural gas leak anywhere.. And if you do its all good. Just dont light a smoke man!
