Acceleration problems

I have a 98 GSR with 160km on it, I’m starting to have a problem with the car accelerating in 1st gear, it seems to bog and have no power from 1k to 3k RPM after it hits 3 the car starts to rev hard. It’s just the 1st 3000RMP range that it has nothing. I never had this problem in the past. I’m still running the stock clutch, but I don’t think it’s the clutch; also 2 years ago I bottomed out and squashed my header, could that be causing the problem? 2 of the header pipes are 40% closed. The same problem if I’m in 2nd gear driving slow and if I want to pass a car I step on the gas, again no power until 3k.

change the fuel filter and get the injectors cleaned. that might be the problem. better yet just do a full tune up.

I installed a new fuel filter about 6 months ago, at the same time I did spark plugs, plug wires, and rotor. What would be the best way to get the injectors cleaned? I try to do all the work on my own and only bring it into the show for major problems and for the past 5 years its never been in the shop :). I also tried the injector cleaners and they seem to do nothing...

it's a missfire...

best thing to do is change plugs and wires.. if you're still misfiring... get the code read... is the CEL on?

happend to the truck.. one of the sparkplugs were fried

I'll get some new plugs today, the cables are about 6 months old so I don't think that's the problem. I'll update after I install them, I'm not getting any CEL codes.

tune up would be my first advice
