abs remove.. looking for tips?

I have a 96 gs with abs that I am planning to remove. I am doing this for a cleaner engine bay and to fit my jdm hid front lights.
Using the prop valve and brake lines from a rs integra.

Have any of you gone through this and do you have any tips for me?

Leave your ABS there, because if you remove it, you are going to have to make all new brake line to run to the front and rear, it's not worth it, plus ABS is better to have.

yeah i have the jdm itr front end that i am tryin to install but i cant get the passenger side in. The hid ballast on the itr lights are hitting abs pump/motor.

is there a way around this ?

is there a do it urself anywhere?

can i buy aftermarket ballast that delete the big black ballast box on the light?

not really wanting to cut the wires to the light.

i thought the big black ballast box was just a compartment for the hid kit if so then you should have some extra wiring length inside of it allowing u to move the ballast but i could be wrong...

You can do this but its a lot of work!

You will need correct master, proportioning valve, and either good used undamaged RS lines OR OEM lines $$$ or you will have to make them.

It's your ride. If you do not think you need ABS and you want the space go for it. Without the motor out though this will be a tough job. NOt impossible just tough. I am thinking you are in for 20 plus hours if you are making your own lines. One SOLID weekend.

just get the correct tools line fittings etc. Some beer might help:D.

BTW... I am about to start this myself.;)

I have already pulled the ads motor/pump and the brake lines to it. I just got all the brake lines for the converstion. Ordered new through acura but buddy has not give me the amount yet.
Looking for a rs prop valve (40/40) if anybody has one. 200$ brand new but trying to find one for cheaper.

Its really not to hard to do, just lots of time to do. Found a really brief DIY on team integra. heres the link ABS Removal Guide - Team Integra

good luck! hope everything works out bud.
