95 Integra - running 15 inch rims / tires in winter?
Hi All,
Just bought myself a nice little 'teggy with stock 14 inch rims and tires (190/60/14) and I'm wondering if going to 15's for winter would help at all in terms of ground clearance? Maybe running a 185 instead as I've heard that thinner tires do better in the snow? Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance, Ryan |
Running 15's will not hurt you at all, running a skinny tire is better as it's less to got through the snow, just make sure you get a good set of tires, and you'll be fine.

I have 185/60-15 on my car. worked well BUT>>>>>>> this tire size is very hard to find and far mors$$$. I suggest sticking with 195/60-14 or 185/65-14 (far more common). If your car has ABS then you must keep tire size within 3% diameter as stock. Here is an online tire calculator: Tire Size Calculator - tire & wheel plus sizing |
I run a 15 thats nice and tall and skinny and she goes through snow no prob
