4X114 set up
hey guys... i have a quick question about my new setup
Im about to do the ITR 4x114 on my 92 civic.. and was wondering when i change my rotors. where will i be able to find them? i was thinking about the older style accord cause i know they r 4x114 but im not so sure if its the same size... and also if i have to change the pads.. do i just get it off a ITR or will the integras be the same? thanks for the info guys... |
for the pads, i believe you can go with itr stock pads.
but the rotor, you can get prelude and have them re-drilled |
but aint the lude 5 bolt? unless your talking abuot the older style thats back early 90s....
is there anyother way of doing this other then gettin some1 to re-drill them? |
^yea the prelude rotors are 5 bolt, but you drill inbetween them to the 4x114.3 bolt pattern. i beleive -------- also sells a KVR rotor that's made for the 4x114.3

92-96 preludes are 4x114. 97-01 preludes are 5x114 |

4x114.3 is a pain in the ass.
fuzzy, have you tried using 5bolt prelude rotors with your 96spec caliper? aren't they way too big? anyway, from what i know, you have 2 choices. 1) use 91+ prelude non-vtec rotors, and keep your 96spec calipers. you will have to shim, or shave your caliper. 2) get some usdm gsr rotors and redrill them to 4x114.3. you will also need to bore out the center bore to fit over the 96spec hubs. i've tried both methods, and they work. i hear you can use prelude calipers and rotors, but i'm not gonna get into that. as far as pads go, any 94-97 integra pad work, front and back. good luck. |
^no i haven't tried that yet, luckley the conversion i got from teknoik was in excellent shape, and the rotors had alot of life left on them. when the time comes that i'm going to change the rotors, i'm just going to get the KVR's as i've ran them before on the 4x100 and they worked fine.
