how come they are bad prez?

1. they're made of aluminum. the stock one is made of steel. steel works as a better counter weight against your steel linkage. you'll notice a notchy feel in between gears with an aluminum short or short throw shifter.
2. length. short throw shifters tend to be shorter than your oem steel shifter. requiring the driver to reach more for the shifter and having to use more effort to push/pull the shifter to the desired gear. think of as using a socket wrench. the longer it is the less effort you need to tighten or loosen a nut or bolt.

^ ya you're right, now that you mention it my gears are notchy going in with my short throw shifter. I always wondered why, now i know. But i do like the fact that the gears go in so fast, my buddys DA is like a huge shifter and changing gears feels weird lol.

i had a b&m short shifter installed on my car no good cuz it rattled lke crazy..removed it right away...

it does rattle a lot im guessing cuz of the exhaust touching?

yeah iv noticed the sloppy shifting its like shifting twice to catch the gear @ the right spot. how much of an extension would you reccomend>
