i read that the alternator is the same but the connector is different for odb1 its round and odb2 its square could have been a crappy source tho

oh waite sorry it is one is square and one is round but the wiring is the same and you could just get the plug and cut and solder the new connector, had to do this with my distrbutor and alternator connectors to run the b20 dizzy and alternator in my gsr i'm obd1 and the b20 setup is obd2. Alternator is 4 wires there even the same colour its easy to convert to wichever connector.

 

I have one of each obd1 and obd2 located in pickering.
