I have a 1.8 LS HEAD, which has the following done to it. Everything was done By Gord Bush Performance, reason for selling, is going another route.

The Problem, The 4th cylinder has a burnt piston. Due to running to rich. And Basically you can rebuilld the block, or use the rods, and other three pistons.
Rods alone are $300.

How bad is that one cylinder?

Zman please call me at 647-295-1198, Block is currently in car still, will get pics very shortly. From what i know, and from what it looks like, the piston, and rings are garbage.
And there are marks on the cylinder wall.

 

any chance you want to part those valve springs and retainers? i can take em apart if you want.

 

See thats exactly what i'm worried about, i'm not a fan of overboring and already overbored engine, especially when boosting. So to me, that block is junk, and i'd be basically buying $400 rods, that go for $300 new.

 

Block- Good parts from it-

Eagle Rods,
Crankshaft, Polished and balanced.
The Cylinder wall in the 4th cylinder have marks, and its been bored out once already. so u got urself a good crank, and a set of good Eagle rods.
