MONEY HUNGRY SCAM SHOP IN SCARBOROUGH
DOESNT CHARGE TAX SO HE CAN SCREW YOU IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG.

HE TELLS YOU TO PAY CASH WITH NO TAX AND HE WILL COVER ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS WITHIN A YEAR, AND HE WILL WRITE IT ON THE PAPER.NOTHING IS TRUE COMING OUT OF THAT SHOP

THE STORY: NO TAX IN ANYTHING HE SOLD ME
Went to his shop to buy a b18c type R complete charged me $4000 98+
He told me he does install for $650 if i want a year warrenty
After he told me to do the timing belt and water pump which he didnt do
After he told me to do the clutch so he can stand by his word on the warrenty
I had no problems told him to do it.
Came to pick my car up in a week I noticed the RPM Is Idling at 1100 RPM
HE SAID ITS NORMAL ALL TYPE R B18C DO THAT
I drove the car like that for 2 months wasting the gas like crazy
(thank god i did my oil changes really fast I couldve blown the engine)
After calling him and complaining that im wasting soo much gas HE SENT ME to another shop that chip and tunes and they told me that
KARIM IS A MORAN for saying thats normal HE JUST WANTED U TO DAMAGE UR MOTOR HE DOES THAT ALOT CAUSE HE DOESNT KNOW WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT
I paid an extra 500 for a obd 1 ECU and new vtec solinoid and to chip and tune it which shouldve been done when I first got the engine installed by him.

After the idling was fixed and it was driving normal I noticed the clutch sticking. His (mechanic) told me cause the rpm was soo high that i burnt the flywheel and clutch
went back to karim he said you've been driving the drive for 5 months now how do u want warrenty on ur clutch. He didnt even want to help me out on the parts just told me to get lost.

Other stories Ive heard
-sold my friend a 4 door type R resisnator and didnt want to take it back
-Sold a climate control CF no lights worked didnt want to take it back
-The tires he has in stock new or used are all garbage looks good when they are new but only lasts 8000km max
-Sold CTR SEATS and said they are ITR bracket didnt fit and he didnt want to exchange
-HE DOESNT EVEN KNOW WHAT HE HAS JUST A WASTE OF TIME

Paid top dollar and got a broken clutch and probably need a new head anytime now

just putting this ad to warn people from his shop becareful of his parts and service

Picked up a jdm zc from him. Drove it for 3 years, no problems. You get what you get.

well, we all know motor swaps is kinda like a game with luck but this kind of customer servic is not acceptable. the most painful part for the OP is probably he paid for all those extra "new parts" which he didn't get or failed soon after. that really sucked, i feel for him.

Total JDM is Toronto JDM I believe. I've heard enough horror stories from there for me not to do any business with them.

Its tough finding a good import shop, the service on most of them is just terrible.

Been there done that. Bought from a Kijiji post. $80 for type r spoiler and $40 for shipping. I said ok. Then I was sent a total of like $146. I responded with basic math. $80 + $40 is $120. I was then countered with a response with no Hey, hello sorry just a sentence stating plus taxes. I went ahead and bought the spoiler anyways but for one of these companies mentioned above to be selling private then add taxes and say because it's going thru a company.

I also researched a little further and it was $80 on kijiji, $90 on their website and $100 on eBay, all plus shipping all from the same company. Wild crowd.

Now on that note, I want to buy a JDM front clip for my 95 GSR, which company offers a good product, service and fair prices?

Well i have gotten a few engines from him. He is a useless tit. But, he does have the goods and i only look at him as a supplier. Not a service shop or an expert. A warenty from him is as good as a waranty from a garage sale. At the end of the day, its up to you how you want to spend your money.

i dont buy from him anymore. ive spoken to a few jdm stores and apparently karim gets the better parts from the shipments from japan cause he gets first pick, so i hear. but he doesnt kno ----.

try JDM engine land, those guys are real people ive been treated with nothing but respect from them and always get pretty good deals too.

My cousin bought motor mounts from there i realized they were the wrong ones b4 I started the motor swap so me and my cousin went back there an he started telling me there the right mount theyll fit i said i do swaps in eg/dc all the time there not the right ones he didnt wanna give me back my money until i started getting ignorant his dad told him to just give me my money back. so from then i have never went back there a..holes.

Thriple check his parts before walking out the door and if he says it will fit 120% it doesnt

Depends who you deal with at Engineland, they f***ed me around when I went there in January. I sent them a list of parts I needed and they said they had everything. I went there and they had two left turn signals, I needed a set. And he wanted $80 for a set. I needed an intake, they didn't have one. I needed a mirror they got me this one that looked like they played soccer with it. I drove all the way down from Hamilton, needless to say I was passed and never will go back there.

It"s not the parts that he has that are bad. It's just that he doesnt know what he's doing and what he's selling.If you're gonna charge someone top dollar at least chip and tune the car. He's a type R killer, telling me it's normal to idle at 1100rpm poor engine

Ok, relax bud.... im pretty sure we get your point. No need to post upon post about this shop. You said your peace, we get it that you had a bad dealing with that shop.

Ive been around long enough to know that all JDM shops have their good and bad stories. Ive had many myself. So do your research and if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. In the end, if you dont have a reciept.... you have no one to blame but yourself, ask me how i know lol.

I do have a paper saying everything he did and what date and how much cash he took off me and how much warrenty on PARTS AND LABOUR CAUSE HE WILL INSTALL FOR ME.

HE COULD'VE JUST TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO A LICENCED MECHANIC AND GOT IT DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME

Who hasn't ben in this place when getting swaps...I got absolutely fucked at EAGLE JAPAN.

Quick story got a b18c type R swap 96 spec...which turned out the timing belt was on incorrectly and obviously wouldn't start not knowing this problem till later on.

Found out recently that all Type R swaps coming with LSD transmissions which mine does not.

It's funny I just called totalJDM regarding prices for a 98 spec tranny just before reading this but they were sold out of them gonna end up going to direct japan where I have gotten many things for good prices, they take back stuff if something is wrong with it.

I ordered axles off of them before had them laying around for a week or so went to install did not fit took them back a total of 2 weeks later (did pay cash no receipt) and he gave my full money back no questions asked.

I bought a ton of stuff including a JDM front end for my 5th Gen Prelude from Japan Total Japanese in 'Sauga... great prices from them.

Dont buy anything from him. His tires are garbage and he doesnt offer no warrenty when they blow up on the highway. His words "what do you want from tires made in china!!!!!!!!" dont buy nothing from him
