Default Emergency Brake Light

Hey again.... my car has been having the emergency light come on when its cold and would stay on for a while, the brake is down but it would just stay on. It has been doing this for a while now and honda doesnt know what to do, they say they cant make it happen so they can't fix it. Any ways, the light comes on every now and again when I speed up sometimes or when just driving, I don't notice my car being slowed down from the E brake being on but its just annoying to have that light to be on all the time. Any body know whats wrong?>

this actually happens when it isnt cold outside as well. When i first start my car it would stay on for a while but than go off. It happens more often when its cold out.............is the cable frozen?

check your brake fluid... even if it looks like its at the right level... you might need to add just a little more... mine would turn on after a cold night or when doing sharp turns my light always came on... once I put just a bit more brake fluid no problem ever again... if it comes off after like 15 mins of driving then its prob exactly what happened to my car

Mine does exactly the same thing lately. I know the cable isn't stuck on mine. Does anyone know what senses the e-brake is on, as i'm thinking it might be the sensor when it's cold.

if you take out your center piece where the ebrake is (four screws) you will see on the driver side of the ebrake a small switch that basically as the ebrake goes down it pushes that switch down to turn the light off... when it goes up it isnt pushing that switch down and the light stays on... i looked at that too when this was happening... i'm telling ya... check the brake fluid
